When a grave at the Pioneer Cemetery is robbed, Melisende Dulac sets out to track down the perpetrator and, in the process, solve a century-old mystery.
County Line QR Codes
In the print edition of County Line, QR codes appear between chapters. Readers were invited to scan the code to view bonus content. In 2010, when County Line was first released, QR codes were fairly new, and the publisher and I thought their inclusion would be a fun addition to a traditional book. The results were mixed, but I have no regrets.

- County Line QR Codes
I have heard from folks who wonder if the QR codes in the print edition of County Line lead to content which is critical to the story.
In fact, the QR Codes point only to a bonus material, much like DVD extras. There’s a deleted scene, a link to a suggested song playlist, some location photos, even some videos of me gabbing about characters.
Given both the interest and the confusion, I’ve listed all the linked QR destinations below. As you’ll see, none of this is required to “complete” the story (and I think it’s obvious why the deleted scene was, in fact, deleted). But perhaps this material will be of some interest nonetheless.
